For youth aged 4+
This program is our fundamentals power skating session.. We teach all the required skills that will progress your skater to our CanPower program. Our first session we will assess the skaters capabilities and assign skaters to the appropriate groups and you may even be moved to a different groups/sessions.
Prerequisites
This program is for skaters who wish to build on strengthening their hockey power-skating abilities. Skaters entering the program should be able to:
Fall down and get up on own
Able to stand on skates in a balanced and stable position for a prolonged period of time
Able to walk forward
Able to move backward
Able to make snow
Georgetown Skating Club will focus on correcting and enhancing skating posture, form and technique, both forward and backward, with the addition of speed and power.
